Alex Godun
Chairman
Alex Godun is a life-long Republican who became interested in politics while pursuing his undergraduate degree at George Washington University in Washington DC during the terms of Ronald Reagan. While Alex grew up in Delaware County, he has lived for the past 8 years in Lower Makefield where he has served also as a Committee Person in South 5. He resides there with his wife and two sons ages 4 and 1. Alex has a MBA from Temple University where he is also a part-time Adjunct Professor, and additionally he is the full- time Human Resources Manager for the Tastykake Bakery.
Henry Van Blunk, Esq. **
1st Vice-Chairman
Henry E. Van Blunk is active in the community and over the years has worked to elect Republicans for local, statewide and national office. He has been involved with the Lower Makefield Republican Club (Past Chairman), Lower Makefield Zoning Hearing Board (Former Member and Chairman), and is on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County (Board of Directors).
Henry E. Van Blunk is a licensed attorney for over 17 years with degrees from The Pennsylvania State University and Widener University School of Law. Mr. Van Blunk is a Shareholder and member of Stark & Stark's Business & Corporate Group. Mr. Van Blunk's practice emphasizes corporate law, labor law, banking law, real estate law, estate planning and administration.
Mr. Van Blunk currently resides in Lower Makefield, Bucks County.
Dawn Burke
2nd Vice-Chairman
Dawn Burke has resided in Lower Makefield along with her husband and 3 children since 2004. Prior to moving to Lower Makefield, Dawn lived in Philadelphia where both she and her husband worked as Assistant District Attorney's for approximately 10 years. During her time in the District Attorney's Office, Dawn gained extensive litigation experience acting as lead counsel in countless trials on behalf of the victims of crime.
After the birth of her second child, Dawn resigned from the District Attorney's Office to be with her children. She has since been self-employed working part-time with the primary focus of her practice being civil litigation, commercial and residential real estate.
Dawn is an active member of the Republican Party most recently working the polls for several local candidates in the November election. She also volunteers in the schools where her children attend
Ned Haubein **
Recording Secretary
Ned Haubein moved to Lower Bucks in 2002, and into Lower Makefield in 2007. Soon after moving into LMT he began participating in the GOP Club. Ned served as the Parliamentarian for the Club for the past year, regularly attending the monthly meetings. Additionally, Ned was appointed the South 5 Committeeman this year and he was successful with getting out the vote and election day activities. Ned grew up in Delaware and received his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He then completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Northwestern University in 2002 and moved to Langhorne when he took a job at a small Princeton company focused on computational biology. Since then he has worked for several small companies all focused on computer simulation and data management in the biology area. He is currently working on several projects as a scientific software consultant. Ned is happily married for almost 10 years and has two young daughters.
Byron Roth **
Treasurer
Mr. Roth served his country for over 15 years as an Army Infantry Officer. He has been awarded such honors as the Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal to name a few and has served with a unit awarded the Navy Unit Commendation. Mr. Roth retired from serving in the US Army in June 2010.
Byron Roth has held numerous marketing management positions during the 13 years in the professional services industry to include the legal, engineering, accounting, and consulting fields. Mr. Roth has served on the Environmental Advisory Council for Lower Makefield Township, participated in numerous election/re-election campaigns for local candidates, and continues to be involved in the local Yardley/ Lower Makefield Township community.
Mr. Roth has a BS degree in Business Administration from Kutztown University in 1997 and a MBA degree from Drexel University in 2004. He currently resides in Lower Makefield, Bucks County.
Michael Spillane
Communications Secretary
Michael Spillane moved to Bucks County in 2007, after living in Washington D.C. for thirteen years. While in Washington, Michael was an active volunteer for RNCC functions, and provided web design for Congressman Frank Wolf of Loudoun County, VA.
A professional web designer, web developer and graphic designer for over 10 years, Michael runs Michael Spillane Design (www.michaelspillane.com).
He lives in Yardley with his wife and two young children. Michael received his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University.
